It is with great joy we announce that LABI College has been approved for Federal Financial Aid (participation in Title IV programs). This is a historic achievement and the implications are unprecedented. LABI is now ready to offer federal financial aid to students who qualify as early as this fall 2020 semester!
This initial approval would give qualifying students access to federal grants and financial assistance such as Pell grants, Iraq and Afghanistan Service grant, Direct Student Loans, and possible federally-subsidized work study. Our goal is to continue offering quality biblical education at a low cost. Students with financial need, who would not have been able to attend LABI, now have the opportunity to complete the program with possibly little-to-no debt.
Thank you to all in our LABI Community who have supported LABI College with the various initiatives accomplished in recent years. We received “Approval to Operate” from the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (Nov 2018); were granted accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (Feb 2020); and now finally received approval for participation in Title IV programs-Federal Financial Aid (June 2020). This latest accomplishment is arguably the most significant, as all other accomplishments have served as prerequisites and paved the way for this moment.
Through a very lengthy (multi-year), complicated, and arduous process, with your support and God’s help we were able to cross this threshold. By the grace of God, LABI College will continue our mission of serving and equipping students for service in the church and the World.
