Excitement Builds as LABI College Welcomes New and Returning Students for Spring 2025 Semester

La Puente, CA – LABI College is thrilled to kick off the Spring 2025 semester, welcoming an enthusiastic class of new and returning students. This semester promises a transformative experience marked by community, spiritual growth, and inspiring opportunities. The LABI family continues to grow, and with it, exciting initiatives that make our campus a special place for personal and academic development.


Spring Chapel Series Highlights

This semester’s chapel program is a cornerstone of the LABI experience, featuring a dynamic lineup of speakers who will encourage, challenge, and inspire. Highlights include:

  • Week 2 – Welcome Back! with Krystal Matthews, VP of Student Life, and Marcos Correa, Executive Director of Worship.

  • Week 5 – Revival featuring powerful messages from Lamont Hartman (Reconcile Church), David Bess (LABI Professor), and Tony Meraz (Victory Outreach Pastor).

  • Week 12 – Forgiveness with LABI alumni Josiah Paradez and Francisco Ocegueda, along with student-led services.

  • Week 15 – Fellowship culminating in a special movie night and a message from Tony Gomez (FCA).

  • Week 16 – Baccalaureate and Student Awards, celebrating student achievements and honoring the graduating class.

The full chapel schedule reflects LABI’s dedication to fostering spiritual and personal growth through a wide variety of topics, including identity, God’s will, humility, and breaking comfort zones.


Elevate Conference Returns

Mark your calendars for the Elevate Conference on March 8, 2024, a pivotal event that connects students, alumni, and church leaders in a day of worship, workshops, and spiritual rejuvenation. This year’s theme focuses on “Providing ministry resources for the church and the world,” featuring influential speakers and breakout sessions designed to equip attendees with tools to lead and serve their communities.



Café y Comunidad: A Spring of Impactful Conversations

The beloved Café y Comunidad series continues this spring, offering a unique platform for meaningful dialogue:

  • January 22, 2025: Koinonia Edition

    • Featured Pastor Asenath Casarez and Psych Prof. Emmy Vargas (APU/LABI)

  • February 12, 2025: Theology and the Environment Edition

    • A panel discussion with Pastor Juan Rosas and Pastor Martin Martinez from Hispanic Access/Por la Creación.

  • March 26, 2025: Psychology Edition

    • Panelists to be announced soon.

  • April 16, 2025: Business Edition

    • Panelists to be announced soon.

These Café y Comunidad events foster a culture of critical thinking and collaborative learning while highlighting the intersection of faith and real-world issues.

Youth Engagement Through Summer Nights

As we look ahead, LABI College will host Summer Youth Nights on May 2, June 13, July 11, and August 8, 2025. These evenings will provide opportunities for students and youth groups to come together for fellowship, worship, and fun in a welcoming environment.

Virtual Office Hours: Personal Support for Students

For those seeking guidance, LABI will offer Virtual Office Hours on select Wednesdays throughout the semester, starting February 6, 2025. These sessions provide a direct channel for students to connect with faculty and staff for academic and spiritual support.
